Began his career over 30 years ago, in the commercial real estate field and has been involved in investment transactions with a total value of over 500 million.

 

A founding Board Member and current Chairman of the Board for Good News for the Nations, a theological college and seminary based in Bhopal, India. Good News for the Nations recently opened a brand new 28-acre campus which includes administrative buildings, classrooms, student and faculty housing. They have introduced practical projects such as training schools in a variety of trades, an Adult Literacy Program and Children’s Homes for the local community.

Greg also supports mission work and economic development projects for the small-holder farmers in several African and South Asia countries, including Ethiopia, DR Congo, Burkina Faso, Mali, Tanzania, Myanmar and India.

Founded Genesee Capital in 1999 for the purpose of acquiring distressed real estate from the Japanese sellers in the islands of Hawaii. Since its inception, with partners, Genesee Capital
has bought and sold over 200 million in real estate properties which include apartment
buildings, hotels, resorts and condo conversions. As of 2014, Genesee Capital has diversified investing into agriculture and tech companies.

A few of Greg’s agricultural investments include Impossible Foods, a billion-dollar company which created a beef alternative made from soy and wheat. Verde Beef, an African cattle feedlot located in Ethiopia, which is currently the largest feed lot in Ethiopia. Pecan Grove Farm, one of the largest pecan farm companies in the United States. Recently, invested in a pilot program for small farmers growing Moringa in Burkina Faso that includes a 20-hectare site.

LP investor in 500 Start Up Vietnam, a Seed stage technology investment fund.

Other investments include US technology funds.

Genesee Capital has been successful in investing in distressed assets and in new frontier investments while delivering high alpha returns.
